With the ultimate concern for the program’s success and a desire to support nearly every aspect of it while being a consummate team player, Kalina Kasprzak is a perfect fit for our Hall of Fame.

In early 2019 Journeyman’s JHAWK program would welcome Kalina into their higher-level girls program. She would quickly establish herself as a solid team leader willing to focus on all aspects of individual and team improvement. Her ability to score in a variety of ways while being her team’s leader in point retention made her an easy, early, high-ranked pick in JHAWKS drafts. However, it did not take long for the staff to see even stronger value in her participation.

Kalina’s value to the program extended beyond her savvy play. She motivated teammates and encouraged them to step out of their comfort zones and improve through persistent effort. She displayed true JHAWK qualities by assisting younger players and encouraging them in a strong, positive nature. Kalina was a driving force in the rebuilding of the NETS program into a higher level of play. Kalina can be found in the gym during any divisional practice or game. She assists in statistical tracking, uniform issuance, apparel sales, set-up and divisional volunteer coaching. She assisted our board with continued ideas and even designed some of our collectable apparel. There does not seem to be any task that she isn’t willing to assist with. This level of support for the program is among the highest we have ever seen.

Some of Kalina’s individual program achievements include, JHE-61 JHAWKS Best Defensive Player, JHE-61 JHAWKS Tournament Point Leader, JHE-61 JHAWKS Championship Game Most Valuable Player, JHE-62 JHAWKS Tournament Point Leader and JHE-62 JHAWKS Most Valuable Player. She has achieved 20 Career Double Doubles, has earned Player of the Game honors 14 times and has been a YAMO All-Star 6 times! Kalina’s game is equally balanced with an innate ability to rebound the basketball while providing consistency in scoring and great overall defense.
