Mackenzie O’Regan

Status: Player Induction Date: August, 2024

Character, effort and camaraderie are defining characteristics of what we look for in the athletes that participate with our program. We believe these three qualities fit a solid description of Mackenzie O’Regan. Furthermore we would like to extend our appreciation of her unwavering friendship and unselfishness by inducting her into our Hall of Fame.

Most impressively Mackenzie established herself as a solid scorer in her extensive time here with the JHAWKS. She established herself as a concerned and dedicated teammate and played with an apparent love for what she was doing. She encouraged her teammates and assisted younger athletes to do the same. Mackenzie is also part of a small group of girls that participated on both the girls and the boys Journeyman teams. Most importantly she never provided less than she was capable and set a great tone for the rest of the team to follow.

When considering student athletes for the hall of fame, commitment to the program is a major factor in the evaluation process. Mackenzie represents some of the best we have had in commitment. She was always ready to fill in at the stat bench of fill in for a game on short notice. She conducted these tasks flawlessly and without concern for personal gain. She conducted these tasks even after her tenure with the program.

Some of Mackenzie’s individual achievements include – JHE-50 J-Hawks Jr Division Kelsey Leonard Award Winner, JHE-56 J-Hawks All-Star Game Most Valuable Player, JHE-56 J-Hawks Kelsey Leonard Award Winner, and JHE-59 J-Hawks Kelsey Leonard Award Winner co-recipient. She has Achieved 1 Career Double-Double, has earned Player of the Game honors 12 times and has been named a YAMO All-Star 2 times.

When speaking of dedicated athletes in the future her name will surface. We hope she understands her impact on the program and feels as though she can stop by anytime her schedule allows. Please join us in congratulating Mackenzie O’Regan, a true Journeyman.
